Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of esmolol on the flutuation of hemodynamics during trachea intubation of general anaesthesia.Methods Ninety patients with ASA Ⅰ~Ⅱ,scheduled for selective surgery under general anesthesia were randomly divided into three groups:group A(n=30) and group B received esmolol 0.5mg/kg iv and 1mg/kg iv,respectively,and group C served as control group receiving normal saline of equal volume.The changes in the heart rate,blood pressure,SpO2 and ETCO2 before administration and tracheal intubation,time of intubation,and 1,2,5,10 and 20 min after tracheal intubation were observed.Results In groups A and B,especially in group B,there were significant attenuation of heart rate and blood pressure fluctuation during intubation.Two,4 and 1 patient had bradyrhymia in groups A,B and C,respectively.No asthma and allergy were found.Conclusion Esmolol can decrease the fluctuation of hemodynamics during tracheal intubation.
