Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of montelukast plus loratadine treatment on patients with chronic cough due to rhinitis.Method Eight-four patients with chronic cough were randomly divided into two groups,42 cases in each group.The experimental group was treated with orally montelukast plus loratadine,the control group was treated with chlorphenamine plus prozamine,and the effects were accessed 2 weeks after treatment.Results The effective rate was 90.4% in the experimental group and 69.0% in the control group,the difference was statistically significant between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of montelukast plus loratadine treating chronic cough due to rhinitis is marked,can obviously improve cough symptoms.
