On Cross-border RMB Settlement and RMB Internationalization

Since the current round of international financial crisis,the drawbacks of the existing international monetary system are more prominent.RMB settlement of cross-border trade is the first step in RMB internationalization,the steady development of this business is particularly important for RMB internationalization.Timely strengthening the research on the RMB settlement of cross-border trade and the RMB internationalization,has a very important theoretical and practical significance on protecting the stable development of economy and finance,and promoting RMB internationalization.This paper described the conditions and the path of currency internationalization,reviewed the experience and lessons of four currencies′ internationalization,explored the opportunities and challenges that the development of China′s cross-border trade RMB settlement business and RMB internationalization face up,and brought forward suggestions about it at last.
