The Empirical Research on the Supervision Right of the Standing Committee of Local People's Congress

The supervision right of the local People's Congress' Standing Committee has some distinctive features.Its subject is the local People's Congress' Standing Committee.Its object is the People's Government,the People's Court and the People's Procuratorate of the same level.Its exercise style is to supervise their work by listening to their reports and to implement its supervision right by deliberation,sanction and resolution.It is a kind of external and afterwards supervision.Its practice shows that its supervision is effective but not satisfactory because of the imperfect legal liability system and the unscientific membership system of the Standing Committee of local People's Congress.This paper proposes perfecting the supervision law,improving the supervision ability,reforming its operation mechanism and improving its efficiency.
