Abstract

Objective:To study the changes of immune function of red blood cell in the chronic renal failure(CRF) patients with a complication of anemia. Methods:There were two groups: control group including 30 healthy people aged 20 to 70 years and experimental group including 35 CRF patients(no dialysis experience) with anemia, aged 20 to 70 years. The red cell immune adherence function of the two groups was measured by using yeast rosette binding rate of red blood cell. Results:The red blood cell C3b receptor rosette(RBC-C3bRR) binding rate of yeast was significantly lowered in the experimental group than that of the control group, while the percentage of red blood cell immune complex receptor rosette(RBC-ICRR) was significantly increased in the CRF patients. Conclusion:The circulating immune complexes were increased in the CRF patients with anemia and their red cell immune function was decreased.
