Abstract
Scientific spirit and humanistic spirit are the two tremendous cultural phenomena that came into being in the evolution of human civilization. As two big spheres of understanding, they lay particular emphasis on different objects of study, resulting in the differien tiation of man's fields of vision in the methods, concepts, and spirit for understanding the world. Due to the loss of balance between the two fields of vision, they dispel each other and produce discordant views and prospects of the world. Along with the development of man's understanding, there will surely appear a process of evolution of human civilization for the reconstruction of scientific spirit and humanistic spirit, as well as for their mutual absorption and promotion.
