Scientific Spirit and Humanistic Spirit-Based on the Perspective of Knowledge Composition and Evolution

Derived from the fundamental human needs,knowledge is the essential character of human nature.The history of knowledge is the expression history of human nature.Human beings have two main types of knowledge,one is the pursuit of knowledge of objective laws,which needs to understand and transform the knowledge of the world;the other is the knowledge about value,that is the knowledge of the significance,the rights and the overall development of human beings.The kernel of these two types of knowledge is scientific spirit and humanistic spirit.Scientific spirit and humanistic spirit,which stem from the one,embody the spirit of freedom characterized by criticism.The scientific spirit and the human spirit inherent in the different knowledge systems take different forms and different characteristics.The fusion of science and humanities presents the process of the internal coordination and mutual balancing of different knowledge systems. The integration of China's science and humanity possesses a unique context.While building a new civilization,we should avoid one-sided scientism and irrational humanism,absorb human knowledge thoroughly,promote the coordination and symbiosis of science and humanities,and carry forward the spirit of freedom.
