Investigation on psychotropic drug therapy of elderly patients with schizophrenia

Objective:To Investigate current antipsychotic drug treatment among elderly patients with schizophrenia,so as to provide the reference for reasonable clinical medication.Methods:By using examination table which independently designed,the diagnosis treatment and use of antipsychotic drug were surveyed on the chronic Schizophrenic Inpatients.Results: Atypical antipsychotic medication elderly schizophrenia effect-acting period,efficacy,and safety compliance are superior to typical antipsychotic.Conclusions: In older patients with schizophrenia,the treatment of atypical antipsychotic drugs are replacing typical antipsychotic.
