Abstract
In order to enhance the corrosion resistance and wear-resistance of magnesium alloy,an available method to deposit electroless Ni-P/Ni-W-P coatings on AZ91D magnesium alloy was discussed.The microstructure of the coatings was analyzed by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and X-ray diffractmeter(XRD) .The corrosion resistance of the coatings was estimated by electrochemical polarization measurements and 10% HCl solution immergence test.Results show that the complex coatings on AZ91D magnesium alloy can stand in 10% HCl solution for 3 h without corrosion,and the hardness of coatings can reach 622 HKV,which exhibits good adhesions.Therefore the coatings can offer reliable protection for AZ91D magnesium alloy.
