Finishing Trials of Crossbred Wild Yak and Domestic Yak

Abstract
Yak is a domesticating farm animal,which is grazed whole year.In order to verify the feasibility of raising in barn for wild yak,crossbred wild yak and domestic yak were finished on the local feedlot in this study.The results showed that weight gain of 2.5-year-old of F1 and F2 crossbred and was higher than those of domestic individuals for 8.82 kg and 6.2 kg(P0.05).Weight gain of 1.5 year-old of F1 and F2 crossbred and was higher than those of domestic individuals for 9.71 kg and 5.13 kg(P0.05).The results indicated that wild yak was feasible to feed in barn.
