Abstract

[Objective]To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of ambroxol by different administration ways in adjuvant therapy of infantile pneumonia.[Methods]300 children with pneumonia were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,150 cases in each group. The treatment group was given the adjuvant therapy of ambroxol on the basis of the symptomatic supportive treatment and routine anti-infection treatment according to the different pathogens. The patients in the treatment group were randomly divided into group A(toxygen atomizing inhalation),group B(intravenous infusion) and group C(combination of inhalation and intravenous infusion). The control group received only symptomatic supportive treatment and routine anti-infection treatment according to the different pathogens. The duration of temperature recovery, improvement of cough, gurgling with sputum and lung rale, and adverse drug reaction were observed, and the hospitalization days were compared.[Results]There was no significant difference in duration of temperature recovery between the treatment group A,the treatment group B and the control group. The duration of cough disappearance, improvement of gurgling with sputum and lung rale of the treatment group were better than those of the control group, and the hospitalization days of the treatment group were significantly shorter than those of the control group(P0.05),and the curative effect of treatment group C more obvious(P0.01).No obvious adverse effects were observed. The total effective rate of the treatment group A,B and C was significantly higher than that of the control group, and there was no significant difference in curative effect among three treatment groups(P0.05).[Conclusion]Ambroxol by different administration ways shows good curative effect in adjuvant therapy of infantile pneumonia, and combination administration of inhalation and intravenous infusion has more remarkable effect and safety.
