Ambroxol hydrochloride inhalation adjunctive therapy in children with pneumonia

Objective To analyze the clinical effects of ambroxol hydrochlorideinhalation on pediatric pneumonia.Methods Eighty-six cases of pneumonia patients in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2013 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group.Both of two groups were treated with conventional treatment,the observation group received ambroxol hydrochloride inhalation therapy; the treatment effects between the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of the treatment group reached 90.70%(39 /43),which was significantly higher than that of control group 67.44%(29 /43); the pulmonary rales,cough disappeared time and the temperature recovery time in observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P 0.05),the two groups had no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reaction.Conclusion In the treatment of children with pneumonia,treatment with atomization inhalation of ambroxol hydrochloride can effectively enhance the curative effect,improve the clinical symptoms,and decrease the incidence rate of adverse reaction,with a certain degree of security,so it is worthy of clinical application.
