Abstract

Objective To explore the characteristics of sonograms of adenomyosis by transvaginal color Doppler sonography,so as to raise the diagnostic accuracy rate. Methods The sonograms of 135 cases with pathology and operation confirmed adenomyosis were retrospectively analyzed and categorized. Results Forty-four cases were diagnosed as adenomyosis by ultrasonography, the diagnostic accuracy rate was 91.1%(123/135).The adenomyosis could be categorized into 4 types according to the site and ultrasonogram characteristics, including diffuse type, antetheca type, back wall and local type. Conclusion Transvaginal color Doppler sonography is of high accuracy for the diagnosis of adenomyosis and has important value for the differential diagnosis between adenomyosis and uterine fibroids. It's of important application value to select the clinical treatment for patients with fertility.
