Abstract
Cloud computing is a new emerging computing paradigm for hosting and delivering services over the Internet, where computing resources are offered over the Internet as scalable,on-demand(Web) services. It is a convergence of distributed computing, utility computing, grid computing and virtualization. However, the development of cloud computing technology is currently at its infancy, with many key issues still to be addressed. In this paper,we present state of the art of cloud computing, describing the reference model of cloud computing architecture, analyzing the architectures and characteristics of commercial representative cloud products and open source project, highlighting the key technologies of cloud computing. The aim of this paper is to identify important research directions in this increasingly important area.
