Abstract
Cloud computing is a new computing paradigm, which was started in 2007 and it is one of the hottest topic in field of IT industry. Cloud computing is based on several other computing research areas such as SOA, virtualization, utility computing and grid computing. Cloud computing is a type of computing that relies on sharing computing resources like memory, processors, database and applications. Cloud computing becoming popular because its ease of use and providing variety of services. In this paper we will survey research activities and challenges in cloud computing environment.
