A Preliminary Study of Sima Qian's Standpoint on Literary Creations

In literature creations, Sima Qian advocated “indignant voicing”, which was rich with social contents, historic and individual practice. The indignation voiced out in his book “Records of the Historian” had sarcasm and eulogies as well. It was a harmonious integration of truth, good and beauty. The major form of the indignant voicing was“ambiguity”. His advocacy greatly influenced later literary works and appreciation of the literary beauty. The later generations have inherited his advocacy and developed a good tradition of the literature creation and an important theory.
