Abstract
Objective To analyze the superiority of treating spontaneous pneumothorax by video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery(VATS).Methods We reviewed 62 cases of spontaneous pneumothorax by VATS from Aug,2005 to Feb,2010.Bullaes of the lung were performed by using Endo-GIA.Results The average hospital stay after surgery was 7.4 d,the drainage tube was withdrawn mean 3.6 d.Postoperative Complications were 2 cases, they were atelectasis. They were followed up for 5 months to 4 years. All of patients were cured, and were not relapsed. Conclusion VATS is the best way to cured the spontaneous pneumothorax,it is effective, minimally invasive and rapid recovery.
