Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of fosinopril on the myocardial apoptosis of myocardial hypertrophy rat with pressure overload.Methods:36 Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups: false operation group,abdominal aorta constriction group and abdominal aorta constriction +fosinopril treatment group.The ratio of left ventricular weight vs body weight(LVW/BW)was regarded as the index of myocardial hypertrophy;the DNA fluorescent stain method was used to show the incidence of myocardial apoptosis.The latter was tested by flow cytometry(FCM).Results:Comparing with false operation group,the myocardial apoptosis of abdominal aorta constriction group was increased significantly(P0.01).The myocardial apoptosis of bax gene of abdominal aorta constriction +fosinopril treatment group is lower significantly(P0.05).Conclusion:(1)Myocardial apoptosis is a important reason of myocardial hypertrophy with pressure overload;(2)Fosinopril effectively inhibits myocardial apoptosis,which can contribute to its role of reducing myocardial apoptosis.
