Abstract

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of ramipril on pressure overload myocardial hypertrophy of rats.MethodThe model of pressure overload myocardial hypertrophy was established through ligating abdominal aorta in rats. After 8 weeks of treatment by ramipril with dose of 5 mg/kg,the contents of Angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ) and endothelium(ET) in plasma were determined.ResultsRamipril could significantly decrease the contents of AngⅡ and ET in plasma.ConclusionRamipril has effect on inhibiting pressure overload myocardial hypertrophy in rats.
