Abstract
The pile stresses on the interfaces of all soil strata and the lateral friction fcrce of the single pile units were computed by the load transfer method with self-balanced test. The ultimate capacity of the single pile and the settlement of the pile top were obtained using the suppositions of the load transfer method. Finally, a program was developed to calculate the results of the self-balanced test according to the principle of load transfer method.
