Abstract

Objective To select one kind of test method suitable for screening anti TP antibody in blood donor. Methods Anti TP antibody was screened by ELISA of double sandwich and compared with the results of RPR.TPHAmothod was then employed to confirm the different results of ELISA and RPR.Results The positive rate of ELISA was 0.37%(32/8 462) and RPR was 0.28%(23/8 462).The total coincidental rate between ELISA and TPHA was 96.87%(31/32),and the total coincidental rate between RPR and TPHA was 65.62%(21/32),which showed obvious difference between ELISA and RPR(χ 2=8.30, P 0.01).Conclusion The method of ELISA is better than RPR,the former is suitable for screening anti TP antibody in blood donor because of its higher sensibility and specificity and helpful to prevent and control syphilis from transmitting.
