Changes of Commerce in Huaihe River Valley during Song and Yuan Dynasties

Due to war chaos in the Song and Yuan dynasties,normal commercial activities in the Huaihe River Valley were interrupted,which reflects the economic ups and downs of the local areas.In the Song dynasty,there was a stable economic society which was featured by convenient transportation and thriving trading business.Due to the wars between Song and Jin,trade and business generally became sluggish,with monopolized business and smuggled business coexisting along the Huaihe River.In the Mongolia-governing period,commercial activities were also damaged to a certain degree because of war chaos.
