Abstract

Content variety of α-amanitin in different growing periods of Amanita exitialis—a new lethal-mushroom species from China was evaluated by means of high-performance liquid chromatography. The results showed that contents of α-amanitin in different growing periods of Amanita exitialis was obviously varied. The content in ripen-and-old period was the lowest, 1462.7μg/g dry weight; the highest was in bloom period, 2226.8 μg/g dry weight, 34% higher than the front one; the content in young period was 1725.9 μg/g dry weight, 15% higher than the ripen-and-old, and lower 22% than the bloom. The results indicated the curve of content variety of α-amanitin was probably normal distribution, during growth period of the basidiocarp.
