A NEW SPECIES OF GENUS COLEOCENTRUS GRAVENHORST (HYMENOPTERA, ICHNEUMONIDAE)

Five species of the genus Coleocentrus Gravenhorst, 1829 were reported, one of which, Coleocentrus fulvus sp.nov., collected from Hunan Province, is new to science. A key to species of the genus known in China was given. Type specimens are deposited in the General Station of Forest Pest Management, State Forestry Administration.Coleocentrus fulvus sp.nov.(Figs 1-3)This new species resembles C. alpinus Chiu, 1971, but can be distinguished from the latter by the following characters: mesopleurum with oblique wrinkles; temple, vertex, scutellum and postscutellum black; hind coxae and second abdominal tergite brown to reddish brown; subgenital plate at most 2.2 times as long as second abdominal tergite, apical 0.2 of its la- teral margin weakly concave. C. alpinus Chiu has mesopleurum with punctures; posterior portion of lower 0.5 of temple and spot at top of eye light brown; scutellum largely and postscutellum fulvous; hind coxae and second abdominal tergite black; and subgenital plate 2.5 times as long as second abdominal tergite, its lateral margin straight.Holotype ♀, Mt. Shunhuang, 600-900m, Dong'an County(26.4°N, 111.3°E), Hunan Province, 28 Apr. 2004, XIAO Wei. Paratypes: 2♀♀, same data as holotype; 1♂, Mt. Yangming, 1000m, Shuangpai County, Hunan Province, 25 Apr. 2004, LIU Shou-Zhu.Etymology. This species name is based on the color of abdomen.
