Abstract
The channel siltation characteristics and sediment reduction experience in Huanghua Port were summarized in this paper.Then the feasibility and rationality of enlarging channels in silt-sandy coast port area were analyzed.According to the development history of Huanghua Port,the most difficult beginning stage has been accomplished.The advantage of constructing ports in silt-sandy coasts is coming into view gradually.The success in regulating channels in Huanghua Port not only guarantees its development,but also provides references for the other silt-sandy coast ports.
