Development Trends of Sino-ASEAN Foreign Trade and Trade Policy Selection in Post-Crisis Era

Abstract

This paper comparatively analyses the situation of Sino-ASEAN foreign trade from the volume of bilateral trade of goods, the foreign trade balance, the ratio of dependence on foreign trade, the bilateral commodity structure of goods and the intra-industry trade before and after financial crisis. And it explores the development trends of Sino-ASEAN foreign trade in the post-crisis era. That is, the overall regional industrial chain division will be refined further, the intra-industry trade of electronic products will achieve accelerated development, the production base of China’ s processing trade will migrate to the ASEAN, the services trade will become a new economic growth point of regional economic cooperation between China and ASEAN. Based on the development trends of the foreign trade, it analyses the trade policy selection of China in post-crisis era. That is, enforcing the moderate-easy trade policy, evenly enforcing the export-oriented strategy and the import substitution strategy, transferring the development mode of foreign trade through stabilizing external demands and establishing the synthetic management system of trade on CAFTA.
