Abstract

2,4-Dichlorbenzothiazole was prepared from 2-amino-4-chlorbenzothiazole through diazotization and hydrolysis. The amount of sodium nitrite, reaction temperature and time were the main effective factors, and the optimum synthesis conditions were obtained. The yield and purity of the product reached 91.9% and 98.6%,respectively,under the optimal conditions.
