Abstract
Prodigiosin is a natural pigment which is got from ferment. In this paper,it studied the kinetic and thermodynamics of prodigiosin dyeing on wool fabrics, from which it knew the dyeing performance of prodigiosin. The results of the kinetics revealed that diffusion coefficient was rising while the temperature of dyeing was heading up.The prodigiosin dyeing wool had a better diffusion than acid dyeing wool,so this pigment had a good dyeing performance for wool. Then the thermodynamics study indicated the adsorption of wool belonged to Langmuir model, which can give the theory of prodigiosin using for dyeing wool fabrics.
