The Analysis of Traffic Accident Based on Traffic Safety Elements

This paper summarizes the factors that influence road-traffic safety. Those factors include road facilities, seasons, and weather. Taking Binhai Road and Aerodrome Road for example, and according to major road projects and traffic volumes, this paper analyzes the causes of traffic accidents, and thus brings up some countermeasures to improve traffic safety. Through a scientific reasoning of the causes of traffic accidents, the paper further points out that the changes of drivers' characteristics as well as the limitations of drivers' consciousness in driving play a role in inducing traffic accidents. Therefore, road planning and design should be done in a manner that is human-oriented, and traffic safety improvement should be based on prevention strategies.
