Abstract
Total organic carbon(TOC),in contrast to the chemical oxygen demand (COD),can reflect the pollution levels of organic matter in water comprehensively.Furthermore, the operation of TOC is simple and the data are accurate.Through the research on the relevance between TOC and COD monitoring data of various organic matter and wastewater, the interrelationship between them was set up.TOC is allowed as an operational control index for leachate monitoring, which has the guidance of operation and management for environmental monitoring and leachate treatment.
