Abstract
The chlorophyll content of the new bamboo leaves of Phyllostachy pubesens from nine provenances was measured and analysed. The results show that chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and total content have similar changing patterns. All the Chlorophyll contents show a tendency of low-high-low in one year; among the nine provenances, the largest chlorophyll content is from Longhai, Fujian; the smallest is from Shangrao, jiangxi, the chlorophyll contents show remarkable difference in different bamboo provenances. The relation indexes are up to remarkable correlation among chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and the total content.
