A Booming Literature in Multicultural Context——Reposition of Chinese American Literature

Chinese American writers take advantage of the influential power of literature and use the English literary text to resist the history,knowledge and collective memory of the mainstream of American society and provides a different resisting narrative.Chinese culture/literature provides an important resource and occupies an important place in Chinese American writers' counter-narration text.Some critics firmly hold that Chinese American literature is in fact Chinese literature and represents Chinese culture since they have exploited Chinese cultural/literary resources.Therefore,how to treat Chinese culture /literature and Chinese American literature and how to position Chinese American literature are extremely important issues of Chinese American literature research.
