Abstract

This paper gives a brief review on the development in industry and progress in research on seismic prospecting during last 50 years since the foundation of Chinese association of Geophysics. The progress in research includes 5 parts: (1) the progress in prospecting of geometry of geological structures; (2) the progress in prospecting of physical parameters of geological bodies; (3) the progress in prospecting of complex geological structures; (4) the progress in prospecting of detailed geological structures; (5) the progress in prospecting of lithology of geological bodies.
