Language is the carrier of culture and culture is the soil of the language.The euphemism is a part of language.A deep understanding of the English national cultural background knowledge lay a good basis for mastering English euphemism better.As long as one understands and grasps the implied deep cultural connotation behind English euphemism,he or she can achieve the purpose of cross-cultural communication.
