Abstract
Euphemism plays an important role in human communication.It can be classified into two types: traditional euphemism and stylistic euphemism.The language function of euphemism is to avoid taboo,to show politeness,to deceive the public,to read between the lines.Failure to use euphemism will lead to barrier of communication across culture.
