Abstract
Objective To study the dynamic change of Kv4.2 expression in left ventricular hypertrophied myocardium of sponta-neously hypertensive rat(SHR).Methods Kv4.2 expression was measured in left ventricular myocardium of 10,20 and 30-week SHR by the Western-Blot technique,at the same time,the heart mass index(HMI) and left ventricular mass index(LVMI) were also studied.The 10-week Wistar-Kyoto rat was served as the control group.Results ①The LVMI and HMI of SHR were significantly higher than those of Wistar-Kyoto rat(P0.01).In SHR,the LVMI and HMI were significantly different(P0.01).②The Kv4.2 expression in SHR was signifi cantly lower than that of Wistar-Kyoto rat(P0.01).In SHR,the Kv4.2 expression was significantly different(P0.01).③There was significantly negative relationship between the Kv4.2 expression and LVMI(r=-0.99,P0.01).Conclusion The more significant left ventricular hypertrophy,the lower myocardial Kv4.2 expression.
