Abstract
The author analyses some new characteristics of the development of international trade in services and the basic features of the tendency of free trade in services under the condition that the economic globalization has become the main feature of the world economy. On this basis, the author suggests four approaches to the development of China's trade in services:a) Opening the market in services as an important move for China to take part in the economic globalization. b) Improving the conditions for the market access of China's trade in services. c) Pushing forward step by step the opening of our trade in services to the outside world. d) Strengthening the functions of the government in promoting the trade in services.
