Evaluation of the effect of methadone maintenance treatment among herion addicts

Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of methadone maintenance treatment(MMT).Methods:The effect of MMT was analyzed with MMT Observation Scale,Questionary,Individual interview et al.Results:After implementing the project of MMT,the use rate of condom was significantly higher,the disease incidence of STD decreased and the rate of criminal offences decreased too.The job-desire increased,the social function recovered partly.Conclusions:MMT can reduce illegal heroin use,criminal offences,related dangerous behavior led to HIV/AIDS and prevent the spread and extend of HIV/STD。
