The Study of Hair Transplantation Curing Alopecia

Objective We cured the baldness with auto-hairgraft,and followed-up the effects.Methods From Feb 2000 to July 2005,638 cases of alopecia were involved,in which 522 cases were androgenetic alopecia and 116 cases were cicatricial alopecia.They were all treated with the above-mentioned technique,following stochastic investigation.Results The survival rate of the hair was 96.83% in male pattern baldness,95.73% in female pattern baldness and 90.52% in cicatricial alopecia.Postoperative following-up for 6 to 68 months showed that the grafted hair grew well without depilation again.The satisfactory rate was 95.14% in doctors (607/638) and 97.49% in patients (622/638).Conclusion The hair transplantation technique is a safe,reliable and effective method for hair restoration surgery.It is not only used for androgenetic alopecia,but also is adopted for restoration of cicatricial alopecia.Long-dated effect is ideal.
