Abstract

In this paper, the kinematic and dynamic simulations of a diesel engine's crank-connecting rod-piston mechanism were carried out by using the virtual prototype technology and its support software MSC.ADAMS and Pro/E.Kinematic and dynamic characteristic data are obtained by dynamic simulation of actual diesel engine operation. The result is in accord with the theoretical analysis, and which can lay the foundation for the optimization design and the finite element analysis of the crank-connecting rod-piston mechanism of this type diesel engine.
