Effect of Combined Acupuncture and Motive Moxibustion on Cervical Spondylosis of Vertebral Artery Type

Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of combined acupuncture and motive moxibustion on cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.Methods A hundred patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type were recruited and randomized into two groups.Fifty cases in the treatment group were treated by combined acupuncture and motive moxibustion,and the other 50 in the control group were treated by acupuncture only.Result The total effective rate was 96.0% in the treatment group versus 88.0% in the control,and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Combined acupuncture and motive moxibution has higher effective rate compared with single acupuncture treatment,with crucial meaning to the treatment of cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.
