The cause and prevention of complications after percutaneous femoral artery puncture

Objective The research was conducted to evaluate the cause and prevention measure of complications induced by femoral artery puncture.Methods The objects of this study were 600 patients randomized selection from hospital.Researchers recorded and observed many indexes including the type of selected sheath tube,the proficiency of doctor's percutaneous femoral artery puncture,the accuracy degree of operation manual,the coordination of nurses during treatment,the satisfaction degree of nursing and,the disease extent of the patient.According to the above indexes,the cause of complications induced by femoral artery puncture was analyzed and prevention measure was drawn up.Results There were 4 cases of bleeding and 3 cases of hematoma,1 case of pseudoaneurysm,1 case of femoral artery thrombosis and 1 case of femoral artery dissection after puncture.Conclusion It is proposed that the proficient puncture technique and gentle operation of doctors,the strict observation and nursing of nurses during treatment are the key measures for the prevention of complications induced by femoral artery puncture.
