Breeding and High-yielding Seed Production Techniques of Hybrid Late Rice Combination "Jinyou 968"

Abstract
Jinyou 968 was bred by crossing between good quality CMS line Jin 23A from Changde city of Hunan province and strong restoring line R968 from Rice Research Institute of JAAS. Jinyou 968 has good rice quality, short growth and development duration, high yield of seed production and wide adaptability. In the Changjiang River basin, it could be planted as early-maturing double cropping late rice, in South China, it could be planted as early rice. Jinyou 968 passed the approval of Jiangxi Crops Identification Committee in March, 2005. Main characters, high-yielding culture and seed production techniques were introduced in this paper.
