Abstract

The article introduces the method of using Compound Simpsen's formula that can simply compute the random point coordinates of straight lines,transition curves and circular curves as well as the ramp coordinates.The article is also e- laboratod the program that uses calculator CASIO4850P for the coordinate computation based on Compound Simpsen's for- mula.Moreover,the applications of real time GPS in highway surveys,construction layout,densification of bedrock control point,topographic survey,transact and vertical section ground line survey can produce timely and precise results with a pre- cision up to centimeter.
