Abstract

A new surveying method with GPS RTK technique is proposed for the existing railway by overlapped stations in continuous triangle networks. Instead of making using of the traditional side stakes, the control points developed in rail construction are used as base station. In addition, a rigorous least square estimation algorithm is presented in which all linear parameters, designed coordinates and the accurate curve realinement corrections are obtained for each point related to the existing railway.
