Abstract
Objective To have a view of CT characteristics and discuss its role in diagnosis of Bndd-Chiari syndrome. Methods 34 cases were confirmed Budd-Chiair syndrome by trans-phlebography, and their CT data were given a review. Result 29( 85.2%)cases showed enlargement of entire liver and caudal lobe, 23(67.6%)showed uneven density,1(852. 9%) showed collateral vessels inside liver, 3(088.2%) showed collateral vessels outside liver, and 7(20.5%)showed calcification of inferior vena cava. Conclusion CT is superior in displaying physical characteristics, calcification of inferior vena cava and collateral vessels outside liver, playing an important role in Budd-Chiari syndrome.
