Abstract
Objective To assess the value of low field MRI in diagnosing Budd-Chiari syndrome. Methods A group of 12 patients were confirmed to have Budd-Chiari syndrome by trans-phlebography,and their MRI data were reviewed. Results The results of this study included increased liver volume with increasing tail in 9 patients, indication of IVC stenosis or occlusion in 7,collateral blood vessel formation in 7,and ascites in 8.Conclusions Low field MRI is of value in diagnosing Budd-Chiari syndrome.
