Abstract
The relation between the Frankfurt School's critical theory of society and the sociology of knowledge,the characters,contributions and influence of the Frankfurt School's sociology of knowledge are focused in the paper.The Frankfurt School's critical theory of society is not only a social philosophy,but also contains rich thoughts of sociology of knowledge.Through the criticism on kinds of ideologies of the capitalism,the Frankfurt School both developed the dual sides of sociology of knowledge and initiated the critical tradition of the sociology of knowledge.In the paper,the theory structure of the Frankfurt School's sociology of knowledge,especially its study object,contents and methodology,is discussed and some critical review on its contribution and influence is made.
