Abstract
One of the major tasks of ITS systems construction in China's big cities is to provide technical and decision-making support for transportation planning. The purpose of building the planning and decision-oriented transportation information platform is to realize scientific decision-making for transportation planning and construction by solving the technical problems in information collection and extraction. This paper first adopts the system analysis method to analyze the needs of users (i.e., management decision makers, transportation technicians, and the public) from the planning and decision system, and discusses the system software and hardware framework. Secondly, the paper focuses on the key technical issues in the system application process, and finally, introduces the Shenzhen Urban Transportation Simulation System based on the given design method. It is believed that the design idea, system framework, functional design and key technology will effectively improve the levels of decision-making and professional capabilities of the transportation department.
