Abstract
Objective:To report the genotype prevalence and age distribution of high risk human papillomavirus(HPV) in Shaoxing women who were suspicious as HPV infection. Methods: A low density gene chip containing 15 high risk types was detected by flow through rapid hybridization after DNA amplified by PCR technology, then analyzed by EXCEL 2003 and SPSS 16.0.Results: 172 samples(29.86%) were HPV positive among 576 clinical specimens.HPV16,HPV52,HPV58,HPV31,and HPV18 were the most frequent high risk subtypes.Among 172 positive specimens,122 cases(70.93%%) were HPV single infection,34 cases(19.78%) double infection, and 16 cases(9.3%) more than double infection.Women with clinical detection of HPV infection were mainly between 21 to 40 years old. Most women were single infection even in different age group, but HPV infection trend was towards younger. Conclusion: The high risk HPV infection rate is high correspondingly in Shaoxing, and the determination of HPV genotypes was important for early discovery, prevention and treatment of cervical cancer.
